20060018490 Bessel Array

(White Paper)

An improved Bessel array of electromagnetic transducers, in which the Bessel coefficients (phase and/or magnitude) are applied only in the useful high frequency range, where off-axis interference patterns between the outputs of respective transducers cause undesirable acoustics results.

20060018491

Single-Sided Bessel Array

(White Paper)

An improved Bessel Array of most commonly 5, 7, or 9 transducers. The Bessel coefficients are applied only in a high frequency range in which off-axis interference patterns between the outputs of the transducers are meaningful. In lower frequencies, the transducers are driven more like a simple line array, for improved bass output.

20060078136 Chamber-Loaded Augmented Passive Radiator A loudspeakers in which an electromagnetic transducer drivers a chamber-loaded augmented passive radiator (APR). The loudspeakers uses a bandpass enclosure such that the transducer produces sound pressure directly into a listening space, and the APR produces sound pressure into the listening space via an acoustic coupler through a chamber which loads the large diaphragm of the APR.
20060078144 Compound-Driven Augmented Passive Radiator A loudspeaker in which a compound driver drives an augmented passive radiator (APR). Either the compound driver and/or the APR may be coupled to the enclosure in a high-pass configuration such that is produces sound pressure directly into a listening space via an acoustically coupled loading chamber.
7,270,215 Loudspeaker Enclosure with Damping Material Laminated Within Internal Shearing Brace A loudspeaker cabinet with a laminated internal brace which reduces vibration, flexure, and expansion. These are damped by shearing forces applied to the damping layer as the rigid layers move in opposite parallel directions.
